Tax dollars for the bus go up in smoke... up in smoke... up in smoke

This made me late for work on Monday.



It got me thinking, "Who gets the citation? Who pays? Is that money considered lost or is it pulled from another goverment project? Who pays for repairing the buses? How much does that cost? Does the government look for the most economical solution to repairing the bus? Do they even care? If it's public transportation, why can't I get off the bus when locked down in traffic? That doesn't seem very public."
